Operation Pallette #6: BareMinerals Ready Convertible Palette

I'm really excited about this post because I'm featuring the brand that got me in to makeup in the first place!  Yup!  You read that title correctly!  BareMinerals!  Round of applause for just being generally awesome.

I loved working with this palette and I REALLY love their ready eyeshadow formula.  I don't think I own a palette I don't like from that line.  They also do amazing loose shadows as well if you happen to be in the market for them.

Anywho, read on for the looks!  As always, refer to the palette picture and caption for reference to the colors.

Top L-R:Chart Topper, Hard to Get, Fantasy, Stiletto, Shiver
Middle L-R: Admire, Elixir
Bottom L-R: Couture, Pizzazz, Bewilder, Connoisseur, Mystify

Valentine's Day 2014 Eye Look

I created a fun eye look for this years Valentine's Day!  I really wanted to go with pinks and purples but at the last minute I threw in some gold...because let's be serious, no one says no to gold on Valentine's Day.

Operation Palette #5: Kat Von D Star Studded Palette pt. 1

This post will be featuring the Kat Von D palette that was released during the 2014 Holiday season.  I'm really excited to work with this palette because I love her makeup and this palette has some really fun colors as well as a good mix of neutral shades for days when I need to tone it down.

Gothica, a color is this palette got a lot of negative reviews.  Unfortunately this shade didn't perform very well but overall I had good results with this palette.

Use the following picture with the names as reference for what colors I used (you may need to blow up the picture):

Back to School Makeup - Making Neutrals Fun For Someone Who Hates Neutrals

Yeah, it's that time of year again.  Back to grad school for me and back to school for a ton of other young whipper snappers.

I love going to class, I really do.  It's normally the only time I get to really experiment with fun a certain degree of course.

Unfortunately I'm in an MBA program, and there's not a lot of fun going around and I normally stand out in a classroom because of my bright makeup choices.  It's the first day of classes though, so I don't want my professor's thinking I'm crazy until they get to know me.  Because, you know, I'm that "fun" kind of crazy.

I find that even when I'm using my neutral colors my makeup is still way darker than the other students.  Oh well.

Anyways, now that my complaining about having to tone down my makeup is over, here's what I wore tonight:

Holiday 2014 Warm and Cool Eyeshadow Looks

I'm sorry for the late posting of holiday looks but I created a warm and cool look just in time for New Years!

Here's a picture of the shadows used:
BareMienerals Ready 2.0 in The Flashback, Urban Decay Naked Basics, SugarPill's Heart Breaker, Too Faced Pretty Rebel, BareMierals Loose Eyeshadow in Pebble, SugarPill's Loose Pigment in Goldilux
From the palettes I used the following shadows:
Heart Breaker - Velocity
Pretty Rebel - Too Fetch
Naked Basics - Crave and Venus
BareMinerals Ready 2.0 The Flashback - Deja Vu & Amnesia

I also used Brown from the Lorac Mega Pro Palette (not pictured).

If you don't have the exact shadows used, just substitute something you have in your stash that's close.
